Another thing guys don’t understand, and that we get a lot of shit for, is when a guy asks you, “Is something wrong?” or “Are you okay?” and you’re like “I’m fine” and you don’t give a real answer. That’s just because we’re letting something brew, okay? We’re not quite ready to talk to you about something, whatever it is, most likely bad (and you can tell that it’s bad), but it’s because we’re letting it, like, stew, and thinking about how we want to fucking attack you with it. If you ask a girl what’s wrong and she says “Nothing, I’m fine,” just think of that as like, the warning wave before a fucking tsunami. Cause it’s about to go down.

Memory is funny.
Specific and vague.
Visceral and unreliable.
Truth, and fiction.

Time passes and we become who we’ll be,
defined by our jobs, our families, our
accomplishments. Who we were is still a part of who
we are, at least to those who knew us when.

As we move on, lose touch, we’re
sometimes happiest when we get some
minor update about the people from our
past. Enough to know that they landed
on the other side. Enough to touch up
our mental portrait of them, and forget about
them until next time.
